How to vote
Sunday, September 9, it is the election of parliament, municipality and county council. Below, and in the menu bar on the left of the page, you will find all the facts about voting in Perstorp municipality
Ballot papers
Ballot papers are yellow for elections to the Swedish Parliament (general elections), blue for elections to the county council and white for elections to the municipality and for elections to the European Parliament.
Voting in advance august 22 - september 8
You can vote in advance from August 22 to September 8th at Perstorp Library. Times for voting in advance are Monday-Friday 10-18, Saturday and Sunday 10-13. In case of voting i advance, you must have both your ID and your voting card - if you have lost your voting card, you can have a duplicate on in the library.
You can vote on the election day on September 9, at. 08.00 - 20.00.
For voters living in the electoral district of Södra, Västra, Östra and Centrum and Norra, the Culture House at the Central School is a polling station (vallokal)
For voters living in the election district of Oderljunga, the dining room in Oderljunga is a polling station (vallokal). Which election district you belong to is listed on your voting card.
After 20:00 on Sunday september 9 you are welcome to attend when the voting districts count the votes received.
If you are registered in another municipality but located in Perstorp on the election day, you can also vote at the election committee's voting in advance at the Culture House at the Central School.
Your vote will then be transported to the municipality where you are registered and counted on the Wednesday count.
You can have an agent to help you
If you are unable to attend a local where you can vote because of high age, illness or disability, you may leave your vote by an agent.
If you need help by an agent you can hire the municipality's appointed ambulatory voting recipient. Contact the municipality's Kontaktcenter, phone 0435-39200 The ambulatory voters will on their own initiative visit several of the municipality's retirement homes to pick up votes.
Preliminary count
On the Wednesday after Election Day the election committees count the advance votes that had not reached the polling stations on Election Day. They can also continue counting on Thursday if they do not finish on Wednesday. These are primarily votes from abroad and advance votes cast in other municipalities on Election Day. Once the count by the election committees has been completed, these votes are also delivered to the County Administrative Board. You are welcome to attend, September 12, starting at 08.30, ask at the reception and they will show you to the right place.
